Ex Demo FLIR i7 Thermal IR Imaging Camera
The introduction of the FLIR I7 Infrared Thermal Camera made the high specification requirements needed in predictive maintenance and building more affordable. The first mid range camera that conforms to the new RESNET standard and presenting itself as the lowest cost option for those needing to be RESNET certified.
Designed primary for its ability to check for mechanical and electrical faults, but also capable of investigating applications in the building envelope. The camera is versatile enough to tackle various applications from heating efficiency such as insulation loss or waste in electrical systems.
A durable double moulded construction makes it suitable for onsite use and with its IP43 rating making it protected against splashes and dust. The camera weighs as little as 340 grams and has a shock rating of 25G and vibration rating of 2G, piece of mind for any engineer using the device near heavy machinery. The battery life itself is impressive offering 4 hours of continuous use.
A major benefit is the cameras improved thermal resolution at 140 x 140 pixels this combined with an increased field of view at 29 degrees. This feature will offer the user the ability to capture a wider image with much more detail. Captured images can be analysed on a 2.8" high-resolution colour LCD and stored automatically to the devices microSD card. The kit comes with USB connection for fast effective downloads to either FLIR QuickReport™ software or the freeware FLIR Tools package. FLIR’s patented radiometric JPEG format allows temperature data to be analysed directly from a common image format. Flir have removed the complexity out of exporting and sharing data by making the radiometric JPEGs and MSWord reports compatible with any email system.
The I7s thumbnail gallery and intuitive navigation means that even a new user can take advantage of thermal imaging. The Flir i7’s versatility is present when looking at its analysis features. The camera offers three measurement modes area (min/max), spot (centre) and isotherms (above/below). Included are further more image controls such palettes in iron, rainbow and black and white.
The Flir i7 will give you an advantage no matter what your background, electrician, HVAC engineer or window installer. The ideal tool for building diagnostics, detecting hidden leaks, surveying moisture or poor insulation and overheating or electrical failures.
