FLIR BuildIR Software
The FLIR BuildIR software package is a standalone software program specifically designed to carry out advanced analysis of building structures. FLIR BuildIR can be used to analyze images that have been taken in the field with an infrared camera and create inspection reports based on these images. FLIR BuildIR works together with an infrared camera to visualize and quantify building related problems such as air infiltration, insulation defects, thermal bridges and moisture problems. Data and images can then be presented in a professional report. The workspace in BuildIR is divided into three main tabs for organising, analysing and reporting with the ability to link between infrared images and the corresponding visual images.
Energy cost calculator Flir Build IR allows you to quantify and estimate potential energy cost savings if detected faults are attended to. |
Panorama/image stitching tool (for FLIR T-Series & P-Series cameras) BuildIR allows stitching several images together into one big image. This is particularly useful when you do not have a wide angle lens available when doing your inspections. |
Image grid/area quantifying function The image grid tool is used to quantify the size of areas and to gather measurement data within the highlighted area. |
Customised building report templates Build IR includes several report templates including R/U-value and total heat transfer, humidity inspection for calculation of dew points, air tightness for air infiltration. |
Image editor This has special alarms to detect moisture, insulation deficiences and temperature variations. The image can be adjusted to optimise visualistaion of anomalies. |
Sensor/data logging tool Flir BuildIR can plot graphs of the conditions recorded by the data logger during an inspection to help interpretation of infrared images. |
