The FLIR CM72 is a very useful clamp meter which can measure a wide range of electrical variables and has several advanced features to enhance its practicality. It can take all essential measurements including DC/AC voltage up to 600V and AC current up to 600A, as well as a range of other variables. All measurements are highly accurate and the user can have confidence in the device. Additional measurement features include autoranging, True RMS, LoZ mode and VFD whilst maximum current can be expanded to 3000A with a TA72 or TA74 current probe accessory (sold separately).

Practicality is integral to the CM74’s design. For example, the slim clamps and narrow 34mm jaw opening bring access to tight, awkward wiring in panels and cabinets. The two bright LED work lights also aid work in these places by overcoming the problem of poor light and the backlit LCD screen means figures are always clear and visible. Min/Max, Hold and Auto Power Off with Disable also make the CM72 a user-friendly instrument.

The rubberised, double moulded hand grips mean that this ergonomic device sits in the palm of one hand without slipping so it is comfortable use and easy to keep hold of. Gold-tipped silicone test leads are included to help with troubleshooting whilst the above-mentioned, optional TA72/74 accessories bring access to even more awkward wiring as well as increasing capacity.
