Fluke 707Ex Intrinsically Safe Loop Calibrator
The Fluke 707Ex Intrinsically Safe Loop Calibrator is ideal for use in hazardous environments where potential explosions pose a real threat to workers. The 707Ex meets the new ATEX standard (II 2 G, EEx, ia, IIC, T4) so the user knows that the device is incapable of releasing enough energy to ignite flammable material.
The principal functions of the Fluke 707Ex are the maintenance and calibration of control loops operating from 4 to 20mA. To this end, the user benefits from concurrent mA and percentage readings with high levels of accuracy (±0.015%) and a precision of 1µA and 0.001% respectively.
The Fluke 707Ex is able to source and simulate at up to 20mA as well as measuring up to 24mA whilst further measurement options include slow-, fast- and step-ramp testing. A span check function allows quick zero and span checks whilst it is also possible to measure DC voltage between 0 and 28V. An internal loop means that there is no need for a digital multimeter.
The one-handed operation is also designed to help the operator in hazardous environments. The dial gives tactile feedback and the large push buttons mean that the user can adjust the Fluke 707Ex using just his/her thumb. The instrument is light, portable and comes supplied with test leads and crocodile clips in addition to instructions and a calibration certificate.
