The Fluke LVD2 VoltAlert is a compact combination of a non-contact AC voltage detector and an LED torch. It can detect AC voltage between 90 and 600V whilst the dual sensitivity means that the tip glows blue when the device is between 127mm and 25.4mm from the voltage source before turning red when within 25.4mm. It is therefore much easier to precisely locate the voltage source.

The instrument is shaped like a chunky pen including a clip to fit on a belt or in a pocket so it is easy to transport whilst its low weight and simple operation make it very easy to use. The LED torch is extremely bright and lasts for 100,000 hours so the user can rely on strong illumination when detecting in poorly lit conditions. Batteries are included and the Fluke LVD2 is safety rated as Cat IV 600V.
