Leica Disto D3a Laser Distance Meter

The new Leica DISTO™ D3a is the direct replacement for the Leica DISTO™ D3 and comes equipped with Smart Horizontal Mode™ for precise measurements. This newly uprgraded, multi-functional instrument combines accuracy and reliability with software enhancements you would normally find in more expensive instruments. With a measuring accuracy of ±1.0mm, the D3a offers an extremely high level of precision and comes in a new rubberised casing so that this accuracy can be provided in even the toughest of conditions.

Smart Horizontal Mode™

The Leica DISTO™ D3a can combine the distance and tilt measurements to determine the true horizontal distance without having to be held level. You can take a measurement at an inclination of up to ± 45°, the unit will then calculate the shortest horizontal distance. This allows for quick and easy measurements to be taken, even when objects are in the way.

Power Range Technology™

The integrated Power Range Technology™ boosts the measuring performance enabling a longer range to be measured. Distances of up to 80m can be measured without the aid of a target plate and up to 100m can be measured with a target plate, all without the user having to take a single step.

Tilt Sensor

Using the in-built sensor, you can quickly and simply measure tilts up to ± 45°. This allows the measurement of staircase inclines, disabled access ramp inclines and with the use of the timer, even roof pitch’s. With the laser you can also transfer angles giving you a virtual 100m inclinometer.

Multiple Functions

The Leica DISTO™ D3a can calculate rectangular and triangular areas, volumes, room dimensions and Pythagoras functions such as indirect height. It can also measure the angles of room corners to a resolution of 0.1°. A time delay release is along with enough memory to store up to 20 measurements.

Multifunctional Endpiece

You can aim the instrument directly at the target point, whether measuring out of corners, slots or from edges. The instrument automatically detects the position of the flip-out endpiece and adjusts the measurement accordingly. This allows for precise measurements in even the tightest of situations.

Automatic Screen & Keypad Illumination

The instrument contains a built-in sensor that can detect the level of light in the surrounding environment. If calculated to be too dark it will illuminate the keypad and display, allowing for use in both light and dark conditions.
