The instrument itself can perform one-, two-, and three-pole testing; leakage current measurement; and ground noise voltage measurement over impressive ranges. The device has voltage outputs of 25V or 50V with a range of different currents and frequencies which are all easily substituted, even with gloves. The Megger DET4TC2 Earth Tester is weatherproof to IP54 standard and meets all relevant safety standards including IEC61010-1 Cat IV 100V. It is powered by eight commonly available AA batteries so it is extremely practical.

The Megger DET4TC2 Professional Kit enhances the earth tester’s capabilities on several levels. Firstly, as with the Megger DET4TC2 Earth Testing Kit with Clamps, the ICLAMP allows ART testing and the VCLAMP permits stake-less testing when conditions do not allow the user to drive stakes into the ground. In addition, the supplied field calibration check for the clamps and the instrument helps safeguard accuracy.

The included professional ground testing kit provides everything the user might need to carry out comprehensive ground tests with the Megger DET4TC2. It includes two 50m wires, two 30m wires, four auger stakes, a tape measure and hard carry case.
