With the Megger DET4TCR2 Rechargeable Earth Tester as its base device, the Megger DET4TCR2 Professional Earth Testing Kit offers comprehensive ground-testing capacity thanks to the tester’s accuracy and versatility in addition to an array of practical ground-testing paraphernalia. The Megger DET4TCR2 itself performs two-pole, three-pole and four-pole ground testing; measures current leakage; and assesses ground voltage noise. The user has the choice of a range of different outputs for voltage, current and frequency which helps negate interference from voltage noise up to 40V peak to peak and operation is very straightforward, even when wearing gloves.

The Megger DET4TCR2 Earth Tester is weatherproof to IP54 standard and the backlit LCD screen makes readings legible in all lights so it is ideal for ground testing outside. The tester is full rechargeable and even comes with an AC/DC charger as standard.

The extra items provided in the Megger DET4TCR2 Professional Kit supplement the tester by making it more adaptable and by increasing its range. Firstly, the ICLAMP (also supplied in the Megger DET4TCR2 Kit with Clamps) allows attached rod technique testing whereas the VCLAMP allows stake-less measurements when conditions are unsuitable for driving in stakes. A field calibration check is also supplied which helps ensure accurate readings.

Other features of the Megger DET4TCR2 Professional Kit include a standalone ground-testing kit which features two 50m wires, two 30m wires, a tape measure and another hard carry case, in addition to the case that contains the earth tester, clamps and wire-and-stake set that comes with the device as standard. The range of the earth tester is therefore greatly increased and the kit allows the user to perform completely comprehensive earth tests.
