The Megger KF-LAB MkII Karl Fischer Oil Test Set contains everything needed to measure the moisture content in oil to a high degree of accuracy. The components are designed for evaluating substances with specific gravities (SG) from 0.6 to 1.4 and can test a range of different sample sizes. The default setting is perfect for testing insulating oils with an SG of 0.875.

The two-pin, platinum electrode combines with AC polarisation to result in accurate and precise coulometric Karl Fischer titration. The water measuring range goes from 1µg to 10mg whilst moisture range goes from 1ppm to 100%. Readings are given in µg, mg/kg, ppm or as a percentage whilst results can be calculated based on the mass of the sample or on the volume and SG of the sample, which provides the user with choice and flexibility. The user can have confidence in the Megger KF-LAB MkII because its Karl Fischer titration meets industry standards such as ASTM D1533, BS EN 60814:1998, and IEC60814:1997. Moreover, the set uses a patent pending ACE (Automatically Compensated Error) control system which removes the need to regularly check titration efficiency against known water content standards as it certifies that electrolysis current and count rate are constantly synchronised.
