Megger MFT1735 Multifunction Tester

The Megger MFT 1735 Multifunction Tester is the newest addition to the established MFT1700 series of Multifunction Testers and electrical installation testers.

Suitable for domestic, commerical and industrial aspects of electrical installation testing, the MFT1735 satisfies Part P testing applications and 17^th Edition guidelines.

Like the Megger MFT1730, the MFT1735 boasts TRMS AC/DC supply measurement, an automatic continuity test, insulation resistance tests from 100V to 1kV, low and high current loop test options together with the patented 2 wire low current anti-trip test, Automatic RCD testing from 10mA to 1000mA, RCD Ramp testing including the ability to conduct a B type (DC current/high frequency) RCD test, a basic earth resistance test, the ability to store test results into a multi-layer memory and subsequently download using Bluetooth. Please note that Megger Powersuite software is required to utilize the download or Bluetooth transfer facilities.

In addition to the features offered by the MFT1730, the Megger MFT1735 is also capable of 2 pole, 3 pole, ART (Attached Rod Technique) and Stakeless earth testing. Both ART and Stakeless methods allow for testing without disconnection of the utility earth supply. This makes for a safer testing method, but also irradicates the need for supply isolation which could cost a client huge amounts of money in production downtime.

The comprehensive range of earth test options will open up a new avenue of electrical installation testing. Both simple and complex electrode and earth rod systems can be tested including:

Residential earth
Machinery safety earth
Computer and communication system earth
EMI/RFI system earth
Antenna and pedestal earth
CATV system earth

Please note that the Megger iClamp is required for ART testing and both the iClamp and VClamp are required for the Stakeless testing method.
