The lightweight Megger MPQ2000 Portable Power Quality Analyser is a sophisticated power analysis instrument that is capable of measuring a huge range of different parameters in order to produce a clear, detailed picture of performance in three-phase electrical systems. The analyser displays real-time readings for RMS data, waveforms, demand data, phase angles, harmonics, unbalance, flicker, and much more, which makes it suitable for many different applications including but not limited to power factor, compliance testing, load balancing, substation monitoring, neutral heating inspections and surging/flickering lighting analysis. All measurement features are IEC61000-4-30 Class A compliant.

Practicality is an important design principal of the Megger MPQ2000. In addition to its portable construction and useful handle, the analyser also benefits from weatherproof IP54-rated casing which enables outdoor operation. Furthermore, phase A can be powered off so there is no limit to where the instrument can be used. A 1000V measurement range for AC/DC voltage means that there is no need for a second unit for more applications whilst automatic CT recognition prevents measuring the wrong thing. Finally, a 6.5-hour battery life provides a useful backup to the mains supply in addition to allowing use as a completely portable device.

Despite its advanced functionality, operating the Megger MPQ2000 is surprisingly easy thanks to its intuitive menus and simple push-button interface. Results and menus are shown on the colour, graphic LCD screen and the enormous SD-card memory has enough space for extended measurement periods. Expanding the memory up to 32GB is as easy as inserting a new SD card. Data transfer can be undertaken through the supplied USB cable or through the ethernet cable which also allows remote monitoring.

Free software for the Megger MPQ2000 has automatic configuration settings for the analyser to allow rapid set up as well as providing in-depth assessment on a range of issues from computer faults to tripping breakers. Sophisticated analysis functions also include charting, waveform, and harmonics.

The Megger MPQ2000 is safety-rated as Cat IV 600V and comes supplied with test leads, an SD card, a USB cable, an ethernet cable, a soft carry case and a universal power cord.
