PATCHMATE is an affordable handheld device that makes identifying and testing network cables fast and easy. With instant identification a massive reduction in the time taken to trace, identify and test is gained, saving time and money on the job.

Unlike the laborious “one at a time” method employed by current testers on the market, the revolutionary PATCHMATE Tester enables the user to deploy an unlimited number of PATCHMATE Plugs to reveal the instantaneous identification of its corresponding port at the Patch Panel and test each link simultaneously.

PATCHMATE can be used to trace lost cables, test continuity or to do both at the same time.

Tracing Cables

Due to its compact nature and small form factor, the PATCHMATE Plug allows the user to insert an unlimited number of Plugs into the Patch Panel(s), fully populating them if necessary. Then, by taking the Master Unit to the location where the Wall/Floor Outlets are installed, the user will insert the RJ45 of the Master Unit into the first Outlet. A link will immediately be established and the identification of the corresponding port at the Patch Panel will be verified via the LED’s at the rear of the PATCHMATE Plug. Once the port has been identified, PATCHMATE will commence a continuity test to confirm that the circuit has been wired correctly. This Network Cable Tracer and Continuity Tester eliminates the laborious task of tracing using a tone and probe kit.

Continuity Testing

The PATCHMATE system allows the user to fully populate the Patch Panel with an unlimited number of PATCHMATE Plugs. Then, by taking the Master Unit to the location where the Wall/Floor Outlets have been installed, each Outlet can then be tested. As the user inserts the RJ45 of the Master Unit into each Outlet, a continuity test will commence and the results will be instantly visible via the LED’s on the rear of the PATCHMATE Plug inserted into the corresponding port of the Patch Panel.

The 8 LED’s positioned on the rear of each PATCHMATE Plug gives visual confirmation of a pass, an open circuit, miss-wire or a reversed pair in a matter of seconds. Once the user is happy with the results he can then move the Master Unit to the next Data Outlet to perform the test again.

PATCHMATE is the handy little tester that every installer will want in his or her tool bag.

What makes PATCHMATE unique, is that each kit is supplied with 12 remote Plugs and a carry case as standard, with the option of purchasing additional plugs, allowing the user to test or trace as many cables as they wish.
