Seaward Cross Arm Leakage Detector CARL

The Seaward Cross Arm Leakage (CARL) Detector is a single pole testing device that provides an easy means of checking leakage on unearthed pole cross arms on systems up to 11.5kV. The Seaward CARL1000 can be used to identify damaged or punctured indicators. The instrument consists of a detection rod with a square set hook and control box (not shown) and it is insulated for 9ft at 15kV. The Seaward CARL is safe to use even when in direct contact with energised systems. The results of each automatically performed test are shown as a PASS or FAIL on the LCD screen.
