The Primetest 250 + PAT Tester is the most recent offering from Seaward Instruments capable of a comprehensive list of tests that fully satisfy the latest 4^th Edition IET Code of Practice. The 250+ continues the superior build quality of its predecessor the Primetest 250 while remaining battery powered, lightweight and portable.

The first notable addition is the Primetest’s built in internal memory capable of storing 999 test records which can be downloaded into either a CSV format or into the datalogging software supplied. Seaward have fully considered the user experience by integrating a one button save and download function cutting back valuable test time. For maximum compatibility the Primetest 250 + downloads results via a standard USB cable with each result dated and time stamped for full traceability. 

One way of fully utilizing saved test records is to pair the tester with Seaward’s PATGuard Elite 3 PC Software. PATGuard Elite 3 is one of the most powerful PAT software packages available and is recommended for those wishing to create professional reports and certificates. Please note this tester does not provide a facility to enter appliance information against recorded PAT results. This customisation would need to be achieved within a preferred software package.

The Primetest 250+ is simple yet versatile offering many tests normally only found on more expensive packages. The primetest will test Earth Continuity and insulation at 250V and 500V, IEC lead tests, touch current along with mains powered tests such as RCD Trip Time testing (using the main lead included), Earth Leakage and Protective Conductive current testing. Another benefit is the 250+’s ability to run mains operated tests on 3-Phase appliances using optional Seaward TPA 3-Phase Adaptors.

The benefits continue when considering available accessories, the Primetest 250+ is compatible with the Seaward  Test N Tag Pro Printer a lightweight device which will print high quality thermal labels at 52x25mm complete with all test data at less than 10p per label. The Pro Printer is a worthy accessory which is designed to improve accuracy and decrease test time.
