The Socket & See VP400 Vehicle Proving Unit is a safe, recognised means of proving voltage indicators and multimeters for correct operation both before and after use, as advised by the Health and Safety Executive. 

Moreover, the VP400 has a checkpoint for non-contact voltage detectors, ensuring complete proving of a wide range of voltage detection equipment between 50 and 690V AC, including older filament lamp indicators.
 
Designed to be permanently mounted and wired into a fused 12V vehicle supply, the Socket & See VP400 is ideal for electrical utility engineers. The proving unit outputs a 50Hz AC voltage ensuring the correct operation with voltage detection equipment being used on a UK mains supply. Once the cycle of testing a voltage detector is complete, the VP400 will automatically power down.
