The Testo 770-3 True RMS Clamp Meter is the most advanced clamp meter in Testo’s 770 range. It boasts a whole range of advanced features for measurement, practical use and data processing. Most importantly, it measures all basic electrical variables including AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, frequency, temperature, and capacitance as well as performing diode test and continuity testing. The Testo 770-3’s auto-calculation capabilities allow it to give an additional reading for power. The True RMS readings give the device a basic accuracy of ±0.1%.

The main physical feature of the Testo 770-3 is the retractable pincer clamp. This unique design features a completely retractable pincer jaw coupled with a traditional hard jaw which allows the user to access awkward wiring as shown in the video. Further practicality is added by the Testo 770-3’s auto detection feature. This can sense AC or DC voltage/current as well as automatically selecting the appropriate variables to measure, thus saving time and preventing mistakes. Testo Smart Probes App

The Testo Smart Probes App can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play and works with all instruments in the Testo Smart Probes range. The App displays real-time readings on screen for a whole range of variables. Up to six Smart Probes can work in tandem and information can be saved in Excel or as a .pdf report (including pictures). Advanced analysis is available and the Testo Smart Probes range represents a major advance in system inspection and evaluation.
