The TPI 709R Flue Gas Analyser is supplemented by both an infrared printer and two CK21M pipe clamps in the Kit 2 option. The main instrument can measure levels of O₂ and CO in flue gas as well as measuring temperature and pressure. This allows additional calculation of a range of factors including CO₂ level, tightness, CO/CO₂, efficiency and excess air. For additional user safety, the instrument does not switch off when dangerous carbon monoxide levels are detected.

Measurements are taken via the supplied flue and air probes (thus allowing ambient CO measurement) whilst two supplied CK21M temperature clamps allow the user to take readings on pipes up to 30mm in diameter.

The analyser’s backlit digital screen shows results clearly and simply whilst the interface is very easy to use thanks to clear push buttons. There is enough room for up to 50 reading sets on the analyser’s internal memory and the TPI A740 IR printer allows speedy, wireless printing of hard copies with a time-and-date stamp. Internal software allows the user to quickly process results on site.

A water bowl trap filter and dust pump filter in the flue probe help prevent water and dust damage to the TPI 709R and there is another layer of protection thanks to the rubber boot cladding. The rechargeable battery lasts for at least six hours of operation. Overall, the TPI 709R Kit 2 provides capability for in-depth analysis on combustion systems using ten different sorts of fuel.
