The TPI 716 Flue Gas Analyser Kit 2 contains the versatile TPI 716 along with two CK21M temperature probes and a TPI A740 Infrared Printer. The analyser itself boasts a wide range of measurement parameters including oxygen (percentage), carbon monoxide (ppm), temperature and pressure in flue gas. Differential comparison for temperature and pressure allows the user to contrast flow and return values whilst the instrument can also use these readings to calculate carbon dioxide, CO/CO2 ratio, efficiency, and excess air. Ambient CO measurement allows CO build up tests and there are also timed tests for tightness and let by.

For an additional layer of safety, the user can add an optional plug-in organic gas detector. This detector has high sensitivity (30ppm for methane) and can detect a wide range of different gases. This couples well with the TPI 716’s ambient CO detection which keeps the device on when dangerous carbon monoxide concentrations are detected. Other options include a high CO sensor and an NOx sensor. Pipe surface temperatures can be measured by the CK21M probes from -50?C to 250?C (max diameter 30mm).

An eight-line display can show readings for several factors at once. 100 data sets can be saved to the TPI 716’s internal memory with a time-and-date stamp and serial number whilst infrared communication with the TPI A740 allows hard copies to be printed out on site with company details as a header. It is also possible to transfer readings to a Windows computer with installed software or an Android device with the TPI Stream App. This can be undertaken via a supplied USB cable or through optional Bluetooth connectivity.

Water and dust filters, as well as rubber-boot casing, help prevent damaging ingress into the TPI 716 which allows the company to guarantee the analyser for six years. Overall, it is an excellent and adaptable instrument for use on a range of combustion systems.
