The TPI 717R Flue Gas Analyser Kit 1 has a TPI A740 Infrared Printer in addition to the TPI 717R Flue Gas Analyser. The analyser can measure levels of oxygen and carbon monoxide in flue gas as well as temperature and pressure, thus allowing calculation of carbon dioxide, CO/CO2 ratio, efficiency, and excess air levels. Furthermore, the supplied GK11M air probe allows ambient CO measurement and this is exploited by the instrument when performing timed CO build-up tests in rooms. Timed tightness/let by tests add another aspect to inspections.

The TPI 717R has a backlit digital screen which displays readings taken via the flue and air probes. It also gives a countdown to the next service point when the analyser turns on and 100 reading sets with date and time can be saved to the internal memory. Built-in software provides intuitive operation via simple push buttons as well as automatically calculating a range of values. Infrared communication allows the user to print results with a serial number and date/time stamp.

The standard flue gas probe has both a water trap filter and pump protection filter to prevent water and dust from damaging the TPI 717R. The instrument is also covered by a six-year warranty from the manufacturer (on condition of regular approved services) and rubber casing also helps protect against bumps and scrapes. The rechargeable battery can power the instrument for six hours on one charge and a soft case is provided to hold the analyser, printer and accessories.
