The TPI 9071 Smart Vibration Meter has a cable-mounted accelerometer with an integrated magnet which allows it stick to production machinery more easily when taking measurements. It gives both vibration frequency and vibration amplitude in a range of units with in-built ISO alarms to alert the user quickly when problems become apparent. The frequency range goes from 2Hz to 10kHz whilst there is a dynamic range of 72dB.

The clever colour screen gives readings for ISO mm/s or in/s; BDU and g simultaneously whilst also providing band displays for unbalance, misalignment and looseness. Furthermore, an 800-line FFT display spectrum with cursor and zoom functions for advanced identification of complicated issues. Up to 200 readings can be stored in the internal memory and recalled on screen.

The compact design of the TPI 9071 makes it easy to handle and transport whilst the intuitive menus can be navigated via a simple push-button interface. An ingress protection rating of IP67 means that it is very sturdy and resistant to both water and dust. The battery lasts for roughly 50 hours and the meter is covered by a three-year warranty.
