TPI 9080 Smart Vibration Analyser

The TPI 9080 Smart Vibration Analyser can measure vibration frequency up to 10kHz (1kHz ISO) and vibration amplitude over a 96dB (±60g) dynamic range. A range of different units are available for each parameter including BDU for inspecting bearing wear and readings are taken via a cable-mounted accelerometer. An integrated magnet allows the accelerometer to stick to production machinery more easily in order to take accurate vibration measurements on a wide range of machines.

A vibrant colour screen allows the TPI 9080 to simultaneously display vibration amplitude readings in g, BDU and ISO mm/s or in/s whilst ISO vibration can be inspected with band depictions of balance, misalignment and looseness. Colour-coded alarms indicate the severity of any issues related to ISO vibration. An 800-line FFT spectrum allows the user to zero in on irregularities in order to identify complex faults. The basic VibTrend software provided with the standard kit provides storage for up to 10 assets with 10 readings which can be recalled to the screen at any time.

Simple push buttons let the user easily navigate around the intuitive menus and transfer data to a PC for trend analysis via the VibTrend software. Bluetooth and USB communication offer two different channels for transferring reading data. The TPI 9080 is ingress protection rated as IP67 so it is extremely resistant to water and dust. It boasts a three-year manufacturer’s warranty and has a battery life of roughly 20 hours whilst a supplied soft carry case makes this light, compact instrument very easy to transport. Other standard accessories include a USB docking station and the IEPE cable-mounted accelerometer.

A choice of kits gives the user flexibility when purchasing the TPI 9080. The Pro Kit features an professional VibTrend software whilst the Plus Kit has a tachometer strobe, a stinger and a Bluetooth headset which allows the user to listen to bearing condition.
