The sonotrode/horn transmits the welding energy into the component to be welded. The design of the sonotrode/horn is dependent on a number of factors, including the following: - Amplitude/gain required Frequency Material to welded Sonotrode/horn material Profile or form of component Component size Xfurth have many years experience in the manufacture of tooling for ultrasonic welding. With our modern manufacturing facilities, which includes CNC machinery & wire eroding EDM, we have the capability to manufacture sonotrodes in aluminium, titanium, steel & special sintered steels. We can manufacture ultrasonic tooling for all frequency, makes & models of machine. Frequency range: - 15kHz to 70kHz. Xfurth thoroughly test & inspect each sonotrode using the latest frequency analyser allowing us to maximise the efficiency of the ultrasonic tooling. Where components are available, we will also carry out weld trials prior to dispatch.
