Yorkshire Precision Engineering has moved into a larger modern facility that will allow for significant growth in the future.
The West Yorkshire-based ISO accredited company has also invested £175,000 in a new Doosan Puma TT 1800 SY 8 axis turning centre supplied by Mills CNC. This twin spindle, twin turret machine with Y-axis and driven tooling allows complex parts to be produced in one setup with no secondary machining operations.
With a maximum turning diameter of 230mm, a bar capacity of 65mm and a maximum turning length of 230mm this machine extends the capacity and capability available on the company’s existing fixed head lathes.
In addition to its three fixed head lathes, Yorkshire Precision also operates six sliding head lathes and machines a wide range of materials from Acetal to Duplex steels.
