RC Bursting Disc

The RC Series Bursting Disc from ZOOK is designed for use in standard AAR 2" metal seated safety vents, primarily for railroad tank cars. It features extended usability for a full year without change-outs, regardless of the number of trips. This disk is resistant to most corrosives except elemental Fluorine. It is available in two styles to fit different safety vent types and is made with steel armor for added strength. The disk has a flexible liner on the pressure side for temporary reclosure after venting overpressure and supports full vacuum. The disk is PTFE lined on the pressure side and PTFE coated on the vent side to prevent chemical attack. It also features a high-visibility green PTFE coating for easy inspection.
