In order to detect corrosion under pipe supports, the Quantitative Short Range system scans present parts of straight pipes semi-automatically. QSR1 automatically calculates the pipe diameter, distance between Transmitter and Receiver, top path wall thickness, bottom path wall thickness, and the bottom path minimal wall thickness at every position along the pipe's length. Using the QSR method, you can measure corrosion depths up to half of the pipe wall thickness, which is a significant improvement over other methods.
