Enhance Your ERP with a Process Layer
Novacura Flow streamlines business processes across your organization. While ERP systems excel at storing complex data, they often lack effective control over how people interact with that data. By using a low-code automation platform, Novacura Flow helps to control business processes, bridging this gap by orchestrating collaboration and data management across different ERP modules.
HOW NOVACURA FLOW SUPPORTS PROCESS MANAGEMENT:
Application as a Process
Novacura Flow is built on process orientation. Each ERP application created within Novacura Flow is designed as a process, with specific steps defining the application's logic. This allows you to not only illustrate your business processes but also transform them into actionable applications.
Swimlanes for Role-Based Process Handoffs
Involve various roles in your ERP applications by adding swimlanes. Each swimlane represents a user role, such as a team member, supplier, or manager. You can assign specific people to these roles, enabling them to collaborate by performing tasks defined within their swimlane.
Task Assignment Strategies
When a process crosses from one swimlane to another, the application hands off control to the person or role assigned to the destination swimlane. Novacura Flow offers flexible task assignment options: tasks can be assigned to "anyone in that role," a "specific named person," "a person selected by the previous user," or any other strategy defined by the app developer.
Inboxes for Assigned Tasks
Tasks assigned to users from different swimlanes are collected into inboxes. Application designers can create multiple inboxes for various user types, grouping tasks by priority or type. Users can sort their tasks by assignment date, due date, type, or severity.
Active Notifications for New Tasks
Immediate communication is crucial in many businesses. Novacura Flow provides active notifications for new tasks, visible even on locked screens. Clicking the notification takes the user directly to the urgent task. Application designers control which tasks trigger active notifications, ensuring only the most critical tasks do so.
Integration of People, Systems, and ERP Modules
Novacura Flow allows for the integration of various "actors" within a single process. This includes reading data from an ERP, requiring actions from individuals, collecting additional information from other ERP modules, sending data to external systems, and reporting status updates. This is particularly useful for synchronizing data between ERP modules and managing changes to critical "master data," which often requires multiple approvals before updating the ERP module.
Process Measurement & Optimization
Optimization follows the Deming Cycle: Define, Measure, Check & Act. Novacura Flow enables detailed process measurement by setting "log points" within applications. This feature allows you to capture contextual business information, such as invoice values or customer types, providing insights into process performance and helping identify why some processes run faster than others.
Process Monitoring and Administration
Without additional configuration, Novacura Flow monitors all process instances controlled by the Novacura Flow Server. You can view overall process performance times and identify processes waiting in inboxes. If an assignee is unavailable or delayed, administrators can reassign tasks to ensure smooth workflow progression.
