Ways to Prevent Mice in Your Home

What is a mouse?

Mice are a common problem in many households. There are a few steps you can take to get rid of them. First, you must figure out how they get into your house. Mice can squeeze through very small openings, so check your exterior walls and foundation for cracks and holes. Once you've found their point of entry, seal it up with steel wool or caulk. Then, set mouse traps around your home, baited with cheese or peanut butter. Check the traps regularly and dispose of any mice you catch. You may also want to try a sonic pest repeller, which emits a high-frequency sound that drives mice away. You can get rid of your mouse problem for good with a little effort. Get a cat

If a rodent's tail gets stuck in a trap door, it can easily fracture it. Set traps against a wall where the rodents normally live (i.e., in an area where you regularly see rodent droppings). When the trap is set, it must be checked hourly; if it can't be checked, it must be disabled!

 

Try hot pepper solution.

One possible solution to eliminate mice is to create a hot pepper solution. This can be done by boiling water and adding hot peppers. Once the water has cooled, you can pour it into a spray bottle around the areas where you have seen mice. The mice will then hopefully stay away from these areas.

 

Pack spaces with steel wool
