3rd Line IT Support Engineer – Manchester £30K. Our client based near Manchester / Cheshire Borders is currently looking to recruit a senior (3rd line) support engineer to join our existing support team based near Manchester. The company provides IT solutions and support (onsite, telephone and remote) to a number of small to medium enterprise clients throughout the North West of England. The Senior Support engineers are responsible for our Server installations, migrations and transitions. This role may involve the initial site survey of the customer's network and software applications to identify compatibility issues to allow a trouble-free installation / migration or transition depending on the scope of the job, and may also involve pre-sales and post-sales meetings with the clients ( often along with the customer’s account manager ) to discuss further technical requirements and to project plan how the installations will be carried out to minimize the distribution to the customer. You will also accept responsibility for 2nd and 3rd line support faults, in addition to assisting other staff where necessary with advice and guidance with their support calls. The work is varied and often complex, so we are looking for someone with a proven ability to successfully deliver high-profile, complex projects on time and in budget, and to deliver support in an expeditious manner. You will have various Microsoft skills, which include Networking Infrastructure, Active Directory Configuration and Exchange 2007 / 2010 deployments and problem & software conflict resolution. 3rd Line IT Support Engineer – Manchester
