NET Developer – ASP.NET C# Silverlight – Manchester £30-40K. Our client based in Manchester is currently looking for a skilled .NET Developer with strong ASP.NET and C# skills. The primary role of the .Net Developer is: • To continually monitor, enhance and improve the systems and to aid all areas of the business • To assist every department development of their services and their effectiveness through system development • To demonstrate professionalism at all times to ensure the highest levels of quality are achieved in all aspects of the role Key Tasks • Maintain and develop core sales lead prospecting application in ASP.NET C# with Silverlight • Maintain and develop applications in ASP.NET C# with Silverlight • Creation and development of new ASP.NET C# web based applications for departments within the company • To be responsible for ensuring work is completed to the highest standard and accountable for results achieved • To communicate in a professional and polite manner so as to promote the good practice of the company to external contacts • To ensure best practice is upheld and to drive improvements in quality standards at all times • Communicate innovative ideas to address any issues • To adhere to all policies and procedures ( for example Health & Safety) • Undertake additional duties as required for the smooth running of the business Person Specification • .NET Framework 4.0 (C#) – at least 3 years commercial experience • ASP.NET C# - at least 1 year commercial experience • Silverlight / WPF – at least 1 year commercial experience • WCF – 1 year experience • MS SQL Server 2008, including the creation of functions, stored procedures – at least 2 years commercial experience • ASP.NET MVC – beneficial • LINQ – beneficial • Entity Framework – beneficial • Test Driven Development – beneficial • Sharepoint - beneficial • Proven background of developing commercial online applications • Ability to learn quickly and effectively and in a logical manner • Willingness to be creative and think of alternative solutions when encountering problems • Good communication skills • Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude • To be flexible and adaptable • To understand the requirements of being both responsible and accountable .NET Developer – ASP.NET Silverlight – Manchester £30-40K
