Test ManagerLocation: ManchesterDescription: Test Manager / Senior Software Tester - Greater Manchester - £40-50K. Our growing client in Manchester is currently looking for an experienced Software Test Manager / Tester to assist in developing and implementing testing strategies, best practice processes and automated testing methodologies with a view on continuous improvement of testing capabilities. Core Skill Set: The role will be to build and develop a team of testers to deliver the business testing requirements. A hands-on role, it will involve co-ordinating and managing all testing activity across the software development lifecycle and systems maintenance roadmap working to improve speed and effectiveness. The job will also involve regular QA testing on testing deliverables and the job holder will be expected to jump in and help out when the team need assistance or higher levels of skill. Essential skills and experience: Proven track record of managing medium-sized testing teams in complex financial services environments (to include recruiting, appraisals, performance management, etc.). Advanced ISEB/ISTQB Testing certification. Testing in house and externally developed systems and applications using VB, C#, Access and SQL Server. 3rd party testing supplier relationship management. Ability to think strategically about testing solutions and methodologies. Effective planner, with strong organisation and time management skills.
