Engraving Brass

CZ120 is a leaded brass, the lead (very small percentage as lead is poisonous!) helps the brass to machine really well and allows for deep engraving so it is perfect for signage.

If you have seen brass signs (yellow/gold in colour) on the side of buildings, or commemorative plaques, outside solicitors or banks etc then these are generally engraving brass.

It can be highly polished in finish, or dull polished and is then lacquered (a hard clear finish) so that the material does not oxidize.

It can also be used for dog tags, and clock parts too.
