Filter-Septa uses the special oil absorbent characteristics of O-zorbTM to remove up to 99.9%** of remaining oil from discharge water. BundGuard - Filter-S epta - Oily Water Filter O-zorbTM "ultra green" absorbent will absorb up to 4 times its own weight of oil. Made from the safely recyled foam insulation out of discarded fridges and freezers O-zorbTMturns an ecological disaster into an environmental triumph. Oily Water Disposal Problem? With the introduction of more stringent regulations operators may be concerned that to be absolutely safe their existing automatic oil/water separating pump systems may need some additional support or backup. "Front-line" products such as PPL's BundGuard "yes to water! - no to oil!" pumping systems are extremely effective and reliable but some sensitive sites and other installations might warrant a more cautious approach. This is even more crucial if the discharge goes to ground or surface water drain. The Filter- Septa is the solution for new installations and retro-fit. The incoming liquid sprays onto a special sparging plate and is evenly distributed onto the filter stage. As it percolates down though the tank any remaining oil is "scrubbed" out by the special O-Zorb with only clean water passing back up to the high-level outlet. This also has a density separation affect (like a full sized interceptor) making the system doubly effective. An integral level control sensor (and optional valve) regulates the flow through the unit and a simple 10 minute conversion is all that is needed to incorporate the Filter-Septa into any bund water control system.
