Additional QA3 features for A&E environments
15-10-2014
The QA3 is already a popular A&E trolley, but there’s always opportunity for improvement: latest changes focus on access and ease of operation around resuscitation and radiography - particularly the increased use of digital technology. Engineers at Anetic Aid’s manufacturing base in Portsmouth are currently working on:
Widening the gap between the head-end posts to accommodate the digital receivers for C spine shots
Altering the side rails so that, when in the down position, they sit flush with the lower patient deck allowing clear access to load and manipulate the digital receiver accurately beneath the X-ray platform, including for angled shots
Repositioning the centre posts to allow easier cassette access between them
Removing one of the hinge points in the X-ray deck to minimise risk of show through.
The final stages of re-tooling these modifications is now taking place and the new upgraded versions of the QA3 Emergency Trolley will be in production later this summer.
