APG Developments Additional Services Our Additional Services As well as being one of the UK's leading manufacturers of transmission products, APG Developments can also offer additional services to our customers including, toothed bar stock, chemical blacking and anodising. We are able to offer these additional services from our custom build 9000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Kent. We ensure that we have all the latest technologies and machines to allow us to provide our customers with the bespoke services they require. Toothed Bar Stock We also offer various standard, toothed bar items or can create bespoke items to suit customer's specifications. We use high quality materials and follow strict quality control procedures to ensure that all items are manufactured to the highest standards. Metric & Classic Tooth Forms Toothed bars are available in the following sizes: Metric Classic - 2mm Supertorque - XXL (080) - 2.5mm, 3mm HTD MR Supertorque - XL (.200) - 5mm HTD/T5 - L (.375) - 8mm HTD MR - H (.500) - 10mm HTD/T10 - XH (.875) - 14mm HTD - 20mm HTD Chemical Blacking Alongside our range of machining services, we also offer extra facilities such as chemical blacking. Chemical blacking may also be known as black oxide treatment. It is a surface treatment that is used on steel and stainless steel to create a durable and aesthetically pleasing black finish. Chemical blacking is a low cost treatment that is widely used in industries and applications such as automotive, cutting tools, fasteners and other types of engineering products. Anodising We also offer anodising services. Anodising is an electrolytic passivation process that is used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer found on the surface of metal parts. Anodising is used to increase corrosion resistance and wear resistance. It also creates a surface that allows better adhesion of paint primers and glues.
