Advanced FLIR thermal camera added to hire fleet

Ashtead Technology Rentals is delighted to announce the addition of the FLIR ThermaCAM P620, one of the first-ever High Resolution cameras available for hire, to its fleet of specialist thermal imaging equipment. The high-end instrument, produced by FLIR, the global leader in infrared cameras, is ideal for applications including thermal research, predictive maintenance, heat loss surveys and manufacturing. The cameras have also been used in specialist applications such as TV and film production work. By working with the latest version of the ThermaCAM software, reports can be quickly created and integrated, whilst advanced features include thermal sensitivity of 0.06C, a high definition 640 x 480 infrared sensor, combined with a high quality digital camera to integrate visual images, and a large 14cm LCD display. It also features a temperature range of -40C to 500C with flexible viewing and storage options. Ashtead’s General Manager James Carlyle explained: “The FLIR P620 is one of the most highly refined infrared inspection systems available on the market and is a prestigious addition to our existing fleet of thermal imaging instruments. “This camera is most commonly employed in industry to assess heat loss or stress – moving parts generally become hot before they fail. The demand for this particular product is also a great example of the benefits of hiring over purchasing as customers avoid the capital cost of purchase and receive the equipment fully calibrated and ready to go.”
