Early Baggage Storage in Action

It’s been a busy time for us as ever, particularly having taken part in inter airport Europe! Leading names in airport technology, design, logistics and equipment provision gathered in Munich this year, where a third hall was added to meet the high demand of exhibitors keen to attend this bi-annual event. Our stand was a hub of activity featuring live demos of two of our latest innovations. With the baggage handling sector firmly focusing on Early Baggage Storage (EBS), there was a lot of interest in our rack based storage system, CrisStore. This space efficient system is designed to support airports and airlines with the ever increasing volumes of luggage by improving capacity, accuracy and security of EBS. You may have seen our previous post where we talk about how EBS fits into the Bag Factory initiative – an end-to-end approach for baggage handling which creates efficiency and saves space. CrisStore certainly makes that a reality. CrisStore is a modular system that is easy to configure and scale depending on specific space and volume requirements. The key features and benefits of CrisStore that proved popular with stand visitors are that the system offers 100% tracking and traceability of bags with a space efficient footprint of under 3m per module, not to mention the individual retrieval of bags that eliminates the need to release an entire lane of baggage when just one or two items are needed.
