Longley Concrete welcome another new member of staff

Precast concrete flooring expert Longley Concrete is pleased to announce that they welcomed yet another new member of staff to their business earlier this month. Having started at the company on Tuesday 1st May, Alan Chapman joins the hollowcore department, and in doing so will work alongside the existing team to produce both estimates and designs. With over 25 years’ experience working within the precast concrete industry, Alan possesses a wealth of knowledge that will help Longley Concrete to further improve their service to customers throughout the UK. Alan started his career working for a Middlesbrough-based organisation in their floor beam production shed, before moving into more of an office-based role dealing with production planning and designing of beam and block floors. His career has seen him employed in a variety of roles within the precast concrete flooring industry, which will be of great benefit to Longley Concrete. After relocating to the Huddersfield area, Alan sought to find employment in West Yorkshire and with Longley Concrete looking for a new addition for their hollowcore department, the timing could not have been more perfect. Alan has a great understanding of AutoCAD, FloorCAD, i-Theses and WinFloor software, which will serve him extremely well in his new role. Vanessa Dunkley, Longley Concrete’s Technical Director, commented on Alan’s appointment: “I am confident that Alan will be a fantastic asset to our hollowcore estimating team and we are all delighted to welcome him to the business. We look forward to seeing him make his mark as time goes on. His appointment comes soon after we recruited Mark Copley as our new Sales Administrator.
