Flexzorb® is made entirely of activated carbon and is more effective at adsorption than other carbon-loaded materials with a lower percentage of activated carbon. Flexzorb® comes in woven and knitted forms, and can be customised to meet your needs with different activity levels, weights, and thicknesses. Value-added composites can also be made by laminating the fabric to other materials or impregnating the cloth with chemical treatments.
Flexzorb® features a microporous structure that allows for faster adsorption kinetics and the capacity to adsorb to a higher purity level. Flexzorb® is also suitable for use in high-humidity environments since its adsorption capability is less impacted by moisture. If needed, the activated carbon cloth can be custom-made to include a mesoporous structure to adsorb bigger molecules.
Flexzorb® activated carbon fabric has a very wide surface area due to its microporous nature. To put its capabilities in perspective, 1 gramme of Flexzorb® activated carbon cloth has a surface area of more than half of a football field. This, along with the cloth's strong electrostatic forces, allows it to be extremely effective at adsorbing both liquids and gases.
