New additions to C&D London Underground Approved Products

Craig and Derricott are pleased to announce a further extension to their range of London Underground Limited (LUL) / Transport for London (TFL) approved Switchgear. The range of switches now includes both i-switch LUL Hinged Lid Sheet Steel Switch-Disconnectors and Fuse Combination Units, and a Premier and Standard Range of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). Registered for 'surface' & 'sub-surface' use, both i-switch LUL hinged lid sheet steel Switch Disconnectors and Fuse Combination Units are for the isolation/distribution of electrical supplies, which passed the stringent LUL/TFL formal acceptance procedure and was officially approved in February 2015. Covering a range from 40A to 400A in Switch Disconnectors and 32A to 630A Fuse Combination Units, all units are lockable in the ‘Off’ position as standard with an option to include locking in the ‘On’ position. The switches can even be supplied with Castel Locks for additional Personal Protection and safe operating procedures. Authorised for primary use on surface and sub-surface applications, these items are fully approved to 1-085. The robust construction of this selection of Switchgear is also IP65. LUL APR register Approval has been applied for the 2 types of controller, the Premier DSE333 electronic controller with DES160 self-seeking power supply and BXP4003 supply monitoring relay and the Standard phase failure relay control system. The Premier LUL Range provides a configurable controlled system where the customer can program using the electronic user interface or PC and the Standard LUL Range provides all the essential requirements for automatically switching from Mains Supply to Standby Supply with clear LED state indication. Both ATS ranges come in IP65 Steel enclosures (stainless steel available for Premier Range) in compliance to LU 1-085 Fire Safety Performance of Materials. Mechanical and Electrical interlocked 4 pole AC1 rated contactor with LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) Cables, these two distinct ranges both cover 32A to 800A ratings. These products have been included to complement the existing LUL/TFL Approved Die-Cast and Stainless Steel 25A and 40A Switch-Disconnectors, available from Craig and Derricott.
