Cranage EMC and Safety Christmas Newsletter
17-12-2021
2020 was considered 'unprecedented', but 2021 proved to be a year of ups and downs too. As another year draws to an end, we would like to give our customers our quarterly update on our team and business, and send our best wishes for a happy 2022.
People Update
We are proud of our team and believe our people set us apart from the rest, so as usual we start with a people update and this month is about birthday celebrations. Mark, our Technical Director, EMC Guru and IT support celebrated the big 4-0 recently, As the son of our founders, Keith and Pauline Richens, he was around electronics from an early age and was keen to understand how things work, much to his parents dismay when he would be found dismantling household appliances! As a Cranage veteran, there isn’t much that Mark doesn’t know and he spends a lot of his time discussing projects with customers, advising how we can help and providing detailed quotes. Our Facilities Engineer, Ian, has also celebrated his birthday recently. Ian has been a loyal member of the Cranage team for nearly 8 years and has been instrumental in the coordination of our exciting new extension. Jon, our Operations Director, celebrated his birthday in December. He is the Product Safety expert and medical device specialist and spends a lot of his time out and about doing on-site testing. Jon has a huge amount of experience and knowledge having spent his working life in the safety industry, so can help customers with a vast array of standards and projects. Put his knowledge to the test! As we continue to grow and expand, we have a new Trainee Laboratory Technician starting with us in the New Year, and we look forward to introducing him to our customers and followers.
Business Update
We’ve spoken previously about our new extension and we’re excited that the building is now completed and we are starting to take delivery of new environmental chambers. This extra space will greatly enhance the services that we can offer to manufacturers and we will share the details on our website and social media soon, so make sure you follow our Linkedin account for up-to-date information. Cranage is proud to be a UKAS accredited laboratory (No.1833) and they have recently issued a press release to confirm UKAS will remain a member of the European Cooperation for Accreditation (EA), which ensures their EA partners continue to recognise UKAS accreditation. We welcome this news and the full article can be read at www.ukas.com We would like to thank our customers for your continued support in 2021.
Whether you are a small business, independent consultant or a large multi-national operation, your custom is hugely valued by our family business. All that remains is to wish you an enjoyable festive period, and we look forward to working with you in 2022.
