Deregulation of No Smoking Signs

5 years after England became ‘smoke-free’, the government has implemented cuts to unnecessary regulation covering Health and Safety signage. Original regulations stipulated that No Smoking signs had to be a certain style, size and design and had to be displayed in a prominent position at every entrance to smoke-free premises. From 1st October 2012 businesses will no longer have to follow these strict guidelines and just one sign needs to be displayed at each premises. There is no longer a set design or size required for the sign. Good news for business, bad news for sign companies!
