Client: Danaher and Walsh (Civil Eng)—Ref 4163 Location: Grand Union Canal, Charter Street, Bedford Length: 57.0m Width: 5.0m Form: Steel Pratt Truss Cycle/Access Bridge Project Description This 5m wide bridge posed a problem at CTS as the factory door wasn't wide enough to get it out so had to be widened during manufacture to accommodate the bridge. The bridge was delivered to site in 4 No sections for site welding together prior to lifting into place. Deck designed for a wheel load of 15kN and 3t vehicle load. 1.4m high parapet with secondary stainless steel handrail.
