Here is an Emergency Release Door Stop, look closely at its positioning.

An Emergency Release Door Stop prevents (in everyday use) a double action pivoted door from opening in one direction. Usually fitted to inward opening Toilet / Bathroom doors, in the case of an emergency the stop is deactivated allowing the door to be opened outwards and access to the room is secured.
