Thomas Bow – City Link, Nottingham

DNS were contracted to undertake the site clearance to make way for a temporary car park area in the City Link area of Nottingham inner city. The three week project saw the formation of bunds around the perimeters and the erection of temporary fencing to secure the site. General debris and hardcode were cleared and used in the bund formations. The surface area was stripped of bushes, shrubs and vegetation in preparation for removal off site. Topsoil was retained and stockpiled. 5000 tonne of type 1 material was imported on 8 wheel tipper lorries and spread and levelled with a GPS intelligent dozer, concluding with the trimming and rolling of type 1 material for compaction.
