Visit of the Lord Mayor of Sheffield

Durham-Duplex were delighted to host a visit by the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Councillor Sioned-Mair Richards and her Deputy Councillor Colin Ross on 27th March as part of a series of visits to manufacturers in the City. They had a tour of the machine knife factory from Walmsley Works on Lyons Street through to Carwood Road with John Bailey, the Factory Manager, and finished at Durham-Duplex on Petre St being shown toothing and Industrial Blades by Dave Addiss, the Petre St Factory Manager. The Lord Mayor was particularly pleased to have a go at smithing as her relative were blacksmiths and her badge of office has an anvil on it.
