About EJ Mindful Counselling & Psychotherapy
Emma Jacques
BSc (Hons), PGdip (couns), MBACP
I am an approved, registered therapist by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy. Trained as a Person Centred and Psychodynamic counsellor incorporating CBT and solution-focused techniques. I work a lot with the unconscious mind; helping people that have experienced traumas to move on emotionally, using guided visualisations and the rewind technique. Helping people to practice mindfulness and meditation, and supporting people to grow in self-awareness and personal development.
I provide a non-judgemental, creative space for clients, bringing ways to untangle the feelings connected to negative memories and develop much healthier coping mechanisms.
I have a specialised interest in PTSD, complex trauma, childhood traumas and Borderline Personality Disorder.
I also offer ASD screening and pre-assessments
An in-depth exploration into neurodiversity and you. Includes pre-assessments, diagnostic criteria and signposting and referral letters to GP or private service providers.
