This month the team are carrying out installations for two major metal recyclers in the Midlands and Scotland as both growing sites need more capacity. The new equipment will then be brought onto the regular maintenance plan that EPMS conduct throughout the UK.

High Voltage networks must be maintained and serviced to a suitable standard, as required by UK legislation. Regular servicing keeps the equipment maintained for future use and prevents the worst case scenario for any business – loss of power. Our visual inspections include inspecting oil levels, cables and ensuring that no copper is damaged or missing.

Any rust in the transformer could cause leaks into the water system. Deterioration in transformers and switchgear could result in leaking of oil into the water system thus having an environmental impact.

Any oil samples we take get tested for acidity, gas and water content.
