Yesterday, on June 21st, we celebrated the Summer Solstice, marking the official start of summer in the northern hemisphere. What many people may not be aware of is that the Summer Solstice also signifies the beginning of festival season here in the UK, with Glastonbury Festival always starting the weekend after the longest day of the year. Glastonbury is a renowned festival that celebrates music and various forms of art. The inaugural festival took place in September 1970 on Worthy Farm, its current location. Back then, it attracted around 1,500 attendees. Today, the festival has a maximum capacity of 210,000 people. The festival grounds span an impressive 1,100 acres of Worthy Farm, equivalent to 500 football pitches placed side by side.
