In the 2nd half of 2017 we were invited by an existing customer In the UK to help them with supplying a new solution for bottom loading road tankers.
After discussing various options with the customer, who were originally looking for a ”counter balance” arm, we recommended a spring balance cylinder arm as they tend to provide a smoother operating experience.
Working together throughout the process with regular phone conversations and emails Mike was able to ensure the most cost effective, yet high quality solution, was quoted for.
Our model 750 bottom loading arm with a 4” API RP1004 Dry Break coupler and stand post was agreed upon and, once drawing approval was confirmed, the new Arm was delivered to site before their deadline
The Loader comes with model 2174 & model 2175 carbon steel swivel joints to enable smooth vertical and horizontal rotation. The flexible hose and Aluminium manoeuvring handle installed on the final elbow allows ease of use for the operator
A follow up visit was completed by Mike & Guy to see the Loading Arm in situ, further developing our relationship and to discuss further our full range of Loading Arms

The site are extremely happy with the performance of the loading arm and have since approached us for a replica arm at their sister site

In a separate job they were also man-handling 4” carbon steel dry break couplings to load rail cars. These were a “tad” heavy. We proposed our MannTek dry disconnect couplings as a replacement. After a successful trial to ensure they worked we are now in discussions for further replacements.
