PPMA Show 2021 Review

The first PPMA show since the pandemic began on the 21st of September 2021. For many it was a return to normality as it was the first trade show in the processing and packaging machinery industry to open its doors again . It was also another first for a member of the EWFM team, Ben Adamson, who visited his first trade show (Who you can find out more about in last weeks blog). The following is a review of his experience. PPMA Show 2021: “The PPMA Show was an incredible experience for me. After conversations with the team, it is clear how important trade shows are for a company like EWFM. It allows us to interact with new and existing customers while also highlighting our products and expertise. I believe that face to face contact is so important when it comes to dealing with customers and, it also gives us the ability to explain our products more in depth, as you can have products on the stand with you. You don’t get that sort of interaction when speaking with them over the phone or contacting them by email. During my time at university, trade shows weren’t really touched on as a way to market your business, so I didn’t know what to expect. Also, with individuals still taking caution with COVID, I thought that the show may not be as busy as I originally thought. However, I was proved wrong as the footfall at the show was better than expected. I only visited on one of the three days so I’m sure there was a lot more. Ultimately, the main aim of visiting the show was to help me gather some ideas for EWFM’s trade show stands in the future. I think there were around 250 exhibitors, all with different takes on what a trade show stand should include. Within the 250, I found some eye-catching stands that have given me some great ideas. I’m looking forward to designing the stand for the team and I can’t wait to exhibit at my first trade show!” Looking to 2022: After our recent visit to the PPMA show, it got the marketing team thinking ahead to next year and where we want to exhibit. As of right now, we are penned in for the UKIFDA Show, Liverpool in late April. Hopefully, we will see you there!
